Dr. Bob Sokolowski has served as the Assistant Superintendent of the West Chester Area School District since 2015. As the Assistant Superintendent, Bob has helped lead the adoption of several innovative programs to support our students and families. Most notably, Bob helped to lead the adoption of Full-day Kindergarten, Blended Learning, the implementation of Schoology, and a Dual Enrollment partnership with West Chester University.
Dr. Sokolowski began his tenure in West Chester in 2004 as an assistant principal at B. Reed Henderson High School, and then became the principal of Henderson in 2008. In 2013, he became the district's Director of Secondary Education. Prior to arriving in West Chester, Dr. Sokolowski was a Latin teacher for eleven years in the North Penn School District where he also coached football.
Dr. Sokolowski earned a doctorate in Education Leadership from Immaculata University. He completed his undergraduate degree in Classics at Union College and earned a master's degree from St. Joseph's University. He has also completed graduate work in Classical Studies at Villanova University.
Bob and his wife Beth live in the district. His daughter Ana is a Naval ROTC student at Villanova University.
