Congratulations to Michelle Martin, physical education teacher at East Goshen Elementary School for being selected as the Southeastern District (SED) of SHAPE PA 2021 Elementary Teacher of the Year.

“Mrs. Martin is an incredible teacher that cares so much about our children,” said Dennis Brown, principal of East Goshen Elementary School. “She is always looking for new ways to excite the children about physical activity and make EGE PE fun, but also an incredible learning opportunity for children of all abilities.”

The SHAPE PA Award stems from the SHAPE America Society of Health and Physical Educators. Every year, this group recognizes teachers from school districts in every state that have shown dedication, commitment, and excellence in their school. Winners will be recognized at a virtual banquet in June.

“It is truly an honor to have been awarded the SED of SHAPE PA 2021 Elementary Teacher of the Year Award,” said Mrs. Martin. "Navigating through this past year has been a team effort! I share this award with my many colleagues and the awesome students I work with that motivate me each day.”
