Dear Westtown-Thornbury Community,

As a graduate of the West Chester Area School District and an educator since 2002, it is an honor to be the principal at Westtown-Thornbury Elementary.  My Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, along with my Masters of Education and Doctorate in Policy, Planning, & Administration, have prepared me to lead Westtown-Thornbury to high levels of academic achievement.  As a classroom teacher of grades three through eight for nearly a decade and an Assistant Principal for seven years prior to becoming principal at WTE, I understand the importance of providing a safe learning environment where all students can learn.  Achieving academic excellence begins with relationship building and a positive school culture. All students will have a voice and feel valued in our school.

As a father of three, married to my high school sweetheart, family values are extremely important to me.  My wife, Alison, is an elementary school teacher, and we are the proud parents of three amazing kids, Kaitlin, Jack and Patrick. 

We are very fortunate at Westtown-Thornbury to have dynamic and innovative teachers, dedicated staff and highly engaged parents.  Together we are able to provide a top-notch education experience.  As the principal of the school, I pledge to it is my job to provide support and encouragement so that all students receive the outstanding education they deserve.
