    A Message from Dr. Graham:

    Dear East Families,

It is with tremendous pride and excitement that I transition to the role of principal of East High School. When I first arrived at East six years ago someone told me, “East is a special place.” While I didn’t totally understand what that meant at the time, I now know that East IS a special place because of the students, their families, and our staff who comprise this wonderful community.

I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know many of you and have appreciated the kindness and support you’ve shown me. I value my relationships with East families and look forward to making even more connections during the 2024-25 school year. I am fortunate to be surrounded by such a diverse and talented student body. Please know your children’s well-being will always be my priority.

Lastly, I would like to show my deep appreciation for Dr. Stephen Brown, who for nine years, has poured his heart and soul into East High School. He will be missed, but WCASD will greatly benefit from his expertise in his new role as Director of Teaching, Learning, and Equity. Please join me in congratulating him.

Enjoy the remaining days of summer, and please do not hesitate to reach out if I can be of any assistance.

    With pride and gratitude,

    Sarah D. Graham, Ed.D.
