-
Why do we need ALICE training?
The purpose of the training is to ensure our safety of the students and staff in the event of an intruder.
-
Are all WCASD staff members trained?
Yes, every employee is required to complete a online training with questions at the end of each module and all schools go through scenario trainings that are performed by the Public Safety Supervisor, Campus Security Officers, and Alice Instructors.
-
Why is it important to train our students?
The Alice training is a life skill training. This is something that they will carry with them every where they go. These trainings will help them while they are in school and out in public. Just as everyone knows to stop, drop and roll if they are on fire, these Alice skills will help prepare our children no matter where they are.
-
Do you have any other plans in place for increasing security?
We review new products constantly. We make sure that products that are put in place adhere to the fire codes and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
