    Who? Seniors only

    What? WCASD Learn-to-Earn SENIOR Internship Program (4 weeks - unpaid)

    Where? That’s up to you. You choose your internship site and business sponsor (restrictions apply)

    When? Internship begins May 3, 2021 - May 28, 2021 (4 wks., 30 hrs. per week)

    Why? Participating in an internship program will equip you with valuable experiences, skills, and knowledge. You'll make connections between classroom learning and workplace experiences, all while building professional relationships (networking) that are sure to bring future benefits!

    START HERE! YOU ARE ONLY 10 QUICK STEPS AWAY FROM PARTCIPATING IN THE L2E SENIOR UNPAID INTERNSHIP PROGRAM .

    STEP 1: Read the Student Expectations and talk to your parents/guardians about the 4 week L2E Internship Program

    STEP 2: Talk to your school counselor to make sure you are eligible (i.e. will meet your graduation requirements)

    STEP 3: Choose a Faculty Advisor (teacher, coach, counselor, admin) who can help guide you in creating a resume, thinking about where to intern, and guide you during your internship

    STEP 4: Think about your goals for the internship, choose a place to intern and an internship sponsor (i.e. company, non-profit, etc.).

    STEP 5: Discuss with your internship sponsor what you'll be doing, hours you will work (average 30 per week over 4 weeks), etc.

    STEP 6: Give your teachers the grading letter (tells them how to close your grades), and have your teachers and school counselor sign off that you are meeting your course/graduation requirements.

    STEP 7: Complete and submit the Form A - Application and associated forms (you need to do steps 1 - 6 before you can complete the application!)

    STEP 8: Get your notification of acceptance (by 4/14/21)

    STEP 9: Say "goodbye" to your teachers on April 30!

    STEP 10: Enjoy your internship and don't forget to submit your Attendance Form, Sponsor Evaluation, and your Student Reflection by your last day of 5/28/21!
