Pennsylvania’s EITC is a win/win proposition for our area businesses. Support the West Chester Area Foundation, help provide funding for our local public school district, and receive a 75-90% credit on your taxes.
Today, with the shrinking state and federal dollars coming to the school district, traditional revenue sources aren’t enough to fund all of our needs. Every year, vital programs are cut due to lack of financial resources. What’s more, future legislative actions concerning school taxation and funding may prove to exacerbate this problem. That’s why we have to act today.
The West Chester Area Education Foundation is asking you to become an educational “partner” with us in financially supporting programs to help continue the overall excellence of the West Chester Area School District. WCAEF is a participating organization in the Commonwealth’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC). Administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the program awards tax credits to businesses that make contributions to approved scholarship organizations and/or educational improvement organizations.
For businesses committing to two consecutive years of support, a 90 percent credit will be awarded. For businesses committing to one year of support, a 75 percent credit will be awarded.
To apply, complete the application and agree to make contributions only to state-approved scholarship organizations or educational improvement organizations.
